Learning & Development Consultant – Financial Operations Systems

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Compensation: $58–$62/hour
Duration: 12-Month Contract

A leading financial services organization is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Consultant to support a large-scale operations transformation initiative. This role will play a critical part in preparing operations teams for the implementation of a new enterprise lending platform by designing and delivering impactful training programs, learning materials, and user readiness activities.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in training, instructional design, change readiness, business process training, systems implementation, or operational transformation within complex corporate environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging instructor-led training programs for operations and business users.
  • Develop comprehensive learning materials including presentations, job aids, process guides, and knowledge assessments.
  • Create role-based training curricula aligned with operational workflows and business processes.
  • Build hands-on learning experiences, simulations, and scenario-based practice exercises.
  • Partner with business leaders, operations teams, and project stakeholders to support organizational readiness and user adoption.
  • Facilitate workshops, practice labs, and interactive learning sessions.
  • Review and update training content to align with evolving processes, system enhancements, and implementation timelines.
  • Support procedure documentation, process reviews, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
  • Configure and maintain training environments that enable effective hands-on learning experiences.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance adoption and user proficiency.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Business Execution, Change Management, Business Process Improvement, Systems Implementation, or Strategic Initiatives.
  • Experience designing and delivering instructor-led training programs.
  • Strong instructional design and curriculum development skills.
  • Ability to translate complex business processes into easy-to-understand training materials.
  • Experience supporting large-scale technology implementations, operational transformations, or enterprise system rollouts.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
