Your role at MOBE The purpose of MOBE enterprise learning is to deliver accurate, relevant, and timely learning opportunities to all employees across MOBE. We are seeking a skilled Learning and Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role plays a key part in delivering onboarding and ongoing learning experiences, with a strong emphasis on supporting new and tenured participant-facing employees as they build the knowledge and skills needed for success at MOBE. The Learning and Development Specialist serves as both a facilitator and a connector-bringing MOBE program and business knowledge into live learning environments, reinforcing key concepts, and helping learners apply their knowledge to real work. This role also contributes to onboarding execution, as well as project leadership, content strategy, content design, and Program Development implementation to support evolving organizational needs. Priorities in this role will shift over time based on business need. During periods of high onboarding activity, project leadership and facilitation support will be the primary focus. During lower onboarding periods, the role will flex to support other initiatives. Responsibilities All responsibilities may flex based on business need, onboarding demand, and individual strengths, including variation in level of ownership across facilitation, onboarding execution, project leadership, implementation support, and content design. Facilitation: - Conduct engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, etc. to address organizational learning needs.
- Facilitate in-person, virtual, and hybrid learning experiences, ensuring a positive and interactive learning environment.
- Serve as a consistent L&D presence during onboarding experiences, supporting new employees throughout the onboarding process and reinforcing MOBE's mission, culture, and program.
- Bring a strong understanding of the MOBE business and program into live learning environments-answering questions, reinforcing key concepts, and supporting learner application in real time.
- Partner with other facilitators, subject matter experts, and functional leaders to ensure learning experiences are cohesive, accurate, and aligned with current program priorities.
Project Leadership: - Oversee and contribute to end-to-end learning and development projects, from needs assessment to evaluation, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with organizational goals.
- Serve as a point person for onboarding execution when assigned, ensuring sessions are coordinated, delivery is consistent, and onboarding experiences are successfully executed across facilitators and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with L&D teammates and key stakeholders to define project scope, audience, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, identified challenges, and recommended solutions.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for learning initiatives and conduct evaluations to measure the effectiveness of programs.
- Use data and feedback to iterate on learning initiatives and programs.
Content Strategy and Design: - Think critically and holistically when designing learning experiences to build on existing learner knowledge, create necessary context for new learning, and layer in experiential elements that allow learners to apply their knowledge and skills.
- Build an understanding of the business and our learning audiences to drive focus and relevance for all learning experiences.
- Work closely with subject matter experts, internal teams, and external resources to gather information and ensure accuracy of content.
- Design learner-centric training materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led materials, and multimedia content, etc.
- Apply instructional design principles to create content that promotes effective learning transfer.
Potential Additional Responsibilities: - Support the execution of Program Development implementation, ensuring that vital communications and training efforts are successfully completed.
- Manage and curate online learning for all employees via an external vendor platform.
- Consult with leaders to develop onboarding and development paths that support role-specific employee growth.
- Undertake additional learning and development projects as assigned by the Manager of L&D, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to addressing organizational needs.
- Actively participate in the ongoing growth of the Learning & Development function, i.e. creating/updating policies and procedures, contributing to special projects, fully engaging in meetings, etc.
- Prioritize work dynamically in response to evolving business needs, balancing onboarding support with project work, content development, and team initiatives.
