Our work is rooted in five district priorities, which require collaboration and deep commitment to supporting one another as we serve the community.
We are focused on ensuring every student in La Joya ISD has access to a high-quality, best-fit school as we work to improve from a B-district to an A-rated district. We serve more than 22,000 students in more than 30 schools and span six municipalities, covering more than 220 square miles.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Learning Innovation Coordinator who can lead districtwide work connected to artificial intelligence, instructional innovation, digital learning systems, supplemental instructional resources, and technology-enabled process improvement. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success supporting adult learning, leading technology implementation, analyzing system usage, improving workflows, and helping educators and leaders use digital tools in practical ways that improve instruction and operations. The coordinator will support AI policy development and implementation, help establish clear guardrails for responsible use, and assist campuses and departments with understanding how AI can be used safely, ethically, and effectively.
This role requires strong systems thinking, project coordination, communication, and follow-through. The coordinator must be able to work across departments, translate technical concepts into clear guidance, evaluate the impact of instructional technology resources, and recommend whether systems should be continued, adjusted, expanded, or discontinued based on usage and impact data.
You must possess the urgency, judgment, and organizational skill needed to lead innovation work responsibly while supporting staff, protecting student data, and ensuring that technology decisions are aligned to instructional value and district need.
WHY LA JOYA ISD
