    Primary Duties and

    Responsibilities:

    Belmont Libraries seeks a Learning Spaces and Outreach Coordinator to enhance student engagement, learning, and success by connecting library spaces, programs, services, and communications. Under the director of the University Librarian, this position serves as the primary coordinator for library learning spaces and events, develops outreach and marketing initiatives that promote awareness and use of library resources, manages the library''s social media presence, and assesses the effectiveness of library spaces, programs, and outreach efforts. Working collaboratively with library colleagues and campus partners, the Learning Spaces and Outreach Coordinator helps create welcoming, student-centered environments and experiences that support academic success, belonging, and community engagement.

    Primary position responsibilities:

    • Manage library learning spaces and services by coordinating reservations, maintaining equipment and online information, supporting operational needs, and serving as a liaison to campus partners. Use utilization data and user feedback to recommend improvements.
    • Coordinate events held in library spaces and serve as the primary contact for library personnel, Event Services, campus partners, and event organizers. Support event planning, communication, and execution.
    • Develop and implement outreach, marketing, and communication strategies that increase awareness of and engagement with library resources, services, programs, and spaces.
    • Manage the library''s social media and communication channels by creating, scheduling, and assessing engaging content. Supervise 2-3 social media student assistants.
    • Collect and analyze data on library spaces, events, outreach efforts, and user experiences. Conduct surveys, focus groups, and other assessment activities to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Serve on library committees and project teams as assigned and contribute to initiatives that advance the mission and strategic priorities of Belmont Libraries.

    • Technical, Computer, and Software Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and basic databases and software.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations. Ability to thrive in an environment of hard work.
    • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

    Required EducationBachelor''s degree is required.

    Required ExperienceExperience successfully managing projects is required. Supervisory experience with direct subordinates is strongly preferred.

    The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
