Weitzman, one of the largest retail-focused commercial real estate services firms based in Texas, offers a full range of services including general brokerage, property management, asset management and development services. We operate exclusively in Texas’ major markets: Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and San Antonio.
Weitzman is seeking an experienced Lease Administrator to join its Dallas office located in the Uptown area.
Responsibilities
Accurately interpret and abstract lease information into MRI, Yardi or other lease administration software
Review and process lease changes for various tenant/lease related functions
Prepare, review and analyze year-end adjustments to ensure accuracy and lease compliance
Track and maintain critical dates
Assist Property Managers in resolving critical issues for tenants by researching and gathering information about payment transactions, lease terms and other relevant items as requested, including lease audits initiated by tenant
Prepare and distribute critical date reports; maintain tickler system for tracking important dates and tasks
Complete annual year-end reconciliation process – CAM, percentage rent, insurance utilities, sewer/trash, real estate taxes
Assist Property Managers with annual budget preparation
Conduct lease audits to reconcile and process all landlord and tenant recurring and one-time payments, rent roll changes, end-of-year or percentage rent adjustments
Manage and monitor all tenant alterations and lease amendments
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of relevant commercial real estate, lease administration, accounting, or related experience.
Experience with MRI and/or Yardi property management software preferred.
Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex commercial lease language and accurately analyze lease data.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including proficiency with complex formulas and functions (e.g., XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF statements, SUMIFS, PivotTables, conditional formatting, and data validation). Experience working with large datasets, performing data analysis, and ensuring data accuracy is essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, with the ability to create and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and lease-related documentation.
Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and commitment to producing quality work.
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
