Position Summary The Leasing Agent is responsible for driving occupancy and revenue by managing the full leasing cycle, from lead generation to move-in. This role serves as the primary point of contact for prospective residents and plays a key role in delivering a professional, responsive, and high-quality leasing experience. The Leasing Agent works closely with the Property Manager and Maintenance team to ensure apartment readiness, accurate documentation, and resident satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Leasing & Sales - Manage the full leasing cycle: prospect inquiries, tours, application processing, and lease execution.
- Conduct engaging and professional property tours.
- Follow up with prospects within 24 hours to maximize conversion.
- Maintain accurate and timely lead tracking in the property management system.
- Achieve leasing and occupancy targets established by management.
Administrative & Compliance - Process rental applications and coordinate credit and background screenings.
- Prepare lease agreements and ensure accurate documentation.
- Maintain organized resident and prospect files.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and company policies.
Property Presentation & Marketing Support - Ensure show units and tour paths are clean, ready, and marketable.
- Report maintenance or curb appeal concerns that may impact leasing.
- Support marketing initiatives and outreach efforts as needed.
Customer Experience & Retention - Provide professional and courteous service to residents and prospects.
- Assist with renewal follow-up and resident retention efforts.
- Address concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary.
Other Requirements - Availability to work Saturdays is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in leasing, sales, or customer service required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong communication and closing skills.
- Professional presentation and customer-focused mindset.
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with property management software preferred.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
