Immediate Opening
PMI Southeast CT is seeking a motivated, professional Leasing Agent to join our growing property management and real estate team. This is a local and field-based position for someone who enjoys working with prospective residents, showing properties, and helping turn vacancies into successful leases.
The right candidate must hold a Connecticut real estate license.
Responsibilities
- Market and lease residential properties managed by PMI Southeast CT
- Respond to and follow up with prospective residents
- Schedule and conduct property showings throughout our service area
- Communicate professionally with applicants and prospective residents
- Follow up on leads and help move qualified prospects through the leasing process
- Coordinate leasing activity with the Property Manager and internal team
- Maintain accurate records of showings, prospects, and leasing activity
- Assist with property-related field work as needed
- Represent PMI Southeast CT professionally in the field and with clients
Position Structure
This position reports directly to the Property Manager and requires regular field work at properties throughout southeastern Connecticut. The primary work location is New London, Connecticut.
Compensation
We understand that experienced real estate professionals may have different compensation needs and career goals.
For that reason, compensation is flexible and will be structured based on the candidate's experience, availability, qualifications, and preferred working arrangement.
We are open to discussing a structure that makes sense for both the candidate and the company.
Additional Earning Opportunity
In addition to leasing responsibilities, this position offers the opportunity to earn real estate sales commissions through PMI Southeast CT's real estate brokerage division.
For a licensed agent interested in both property management and traditional real estate sales, this position can provide an opportunity to develop multiple sources of income while working within an established property management operation.
Qualifications
- Connecticut real estate license required
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Professional, dependable, and organized
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Ability to manage leads and follow up consistently
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to properties
- Property management, leasing, or real estate experience preferred, but not required
