Leasing Agent/Operations Coordinator

We're looking for an organized, personable Leasing Agent/Operations Coordinator to join our team. You'll be the first point of contact for prospective residents — marketing available units, giving tours, and guiding applicants through the leasing process — while also supporting the Property Manager with day-to-day administrative and compliance work. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys sales and customer service just as much as staying organized behind the scenes.

What You'll Do

• Market and advertise available units through our website, listing sites, signage, and community outreach.
• Respond to leasing inquiries by phone, email, and online platforms, and schedule and conduct property tours for prospective residents.
• Guide applicants through the leasing process — accepting and processing applications, running background checks, and explaining our tenant selection policies.
• Prepare lease agreements and move-in paperwork, and coordinate move-in dates and unit readiness.
• Inspect vacant units to make sure they're market-ready, and track leasing traffic, applications, and waitlists.
• Support resident retention through lease renewal outreach.
• Conduct annual and interim re-certifications of resident income and family status.
• Maintain resident and applicant files, assist with rent collection and deposits, and enter vendor invoices.
• Serve as a friendly, responsive point of contact for residents and help resolve day-to-day issues.

What We're Looking For

• Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Two or more years of experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or property management.
• Strong communication and customer service skills — you're comfortable turning inquiries into leases.
• Familiarity with LIHTC or other affordable housing programs is a plus; we're happy to train the right candidate.
• Comfortable with basic bookkeeping, recordkeeping, and computer/software use.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work some evenings and weekends as needed to support leasing activity.
