Position Summary

The Leasing Agent is responsible for leasing apartments, providing exceptional customer service, conducting property tours, processing applications, and assisting with resident relations and day-to-day property operations.

The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, dependable, and sales-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist prospective residents in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct property tours and showcase available apartment homes and community amenities.
• Respond to phone calls, emails, and leasing inquiries promptly.
• Explain rental rates, lease terms, community amenities, and property policies.
• Follow up with prospective residents to generate and close leasing opportunities.
• Process rental applications and required documentation accurately.
• Prepare lease paperwork and assist with move-in and move-out processes.
• Maintain accurate prospect and resident records.
• Assist with resident questions, concerns, and service requests.
• Support the property team with administrative and office responsibilities.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming, and professional leasing office and community appearance.
• Assist with marketing and outreach efforts to attract new residents.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, and team members.

Qualifications

Required

• Previous leasing, sales, customer service, or property management experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn property management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work occasional weekends as required.

Preferred

• Previous apartment leasing or multifamily experience.
• Experience with property management software.
• Sales or leasing experience.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.

Work Environment

• Primarily office and apartment-community based.
• Frequent interaction with prospective and current residents.
• Fast-paced environment requiring strong organization and multitasking.
• May require walking throughout the community and conducting apartment tours.
• Weekend availability may be required.
