Job Description
The Leasing Consultant is a service-oriented sales representative who presents the features and benefits of living in an HSL apartment community and strives to make current and prospective residents feel welcome and comfortable in their community.
The ideal candidate for our Leasing Consultant position must be an equal parts friendly, forward-facing customer relations and problem-solving community representative with a positive attitude, great personality, and the ability to succeed in an exciting, energetic, service-oriented, and resident-focused team environment.

Role & Responsibilities
The apartment Leasing Consultant is responsible for ongoing resident satisfaction and stellar customer service and collaborates with prospective residents to help identify their needs, meet those needs, and match them with their ideal apartment.

Main duties for Leasing Consultants will include:
Skills & Qualifications
Ability to communicate over the telephone and in-person with prospects, residents, vendors, corporate and resident staff, etc.
People skills for developing personal connections with prospective renters, keeping current renters happy and reducing turnover
Communication, including verbal and written skills, including:
Ability to function effectively in a sales/marketing and customer service environment
Ability to answer questions and address concerns in a professional manner
Ability to read and write short correspondence and memos
Ability to compute rates, discounts, and bonuses
Ability to translate financial and legal real estate terminology into common language
Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct both detailed written and
oral instructions
Job Requirements
Part Time
Employee will be required to work a flexible work week
Weekly schedule - Weekends are required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
One-year experience and/or training in sales, apartment leasing, property management, real estate, or a related field is preferred
Reliable transportation for use in business related tasks/duties as assigned, including a Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
