Leather Worker

We are searching for a leather craftsperson to help us produce made to order leather handbags, small goods, & pet accessories from deadstock leather.

Please note this is a part-time role on site at MLE's headquarters in Saugerties, NY with the possibility of being able to work on projects remotely if you have your own workshop set up.

Tasks will include:

• collaborating with designer on samples & prototypes
• cutting leather by hand as well with a die press
• shaving & skiving leather on seams to reduce thickness when sewing
• gluing leather
• sewing leather with a walking foot machine
• hand stitching leather
• sourcing hardware

Candidate must be:
