The Panther Group is seeking an experienced Leave Management Specialist to support a leading university in Boston, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with strong leave administration and multi-state FMLA expertise who thrives in a fast-paced, employee-focused environment.

This role offers hybrid flexibility (2 days onsite after onboarding), competitive pay, and strong potential for extension.
What You’ll Do
  • Manage end-to-end leave of absence case administration for assigned employee caseload
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company leave regulations (including FMLA and multi-state leave laws)
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding leave eligibility, pay, benefits, and return-to-work processes
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Legal, Benefits, and external vendors to ensure seamless leave coordination
  • Maintain accurate, timely case management aligned with internal service standards
  • Support employees with benefits-related questions during leave, including disability and return-to-work transitions
  • Assist with process improvements and system enhancements for absence management
  • Stay current on evolving leave laws, regulations, and best practices
What You Bring
  • 2+ years of leave administration or leave case management experience
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • FMLA
    • Multi-state leave laws
    • Leave compliance and employee benefits coordination
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience working cross-functionally with HR and related teams
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Workday
  • Background in higher education or large organizational HR environments
  • Long-term disability or broader absence management experience
Pay is $28-$31.25 per hour DOE
