LEAVE REPLACEMENT - Valley View Elementary School Special Education Teacher
We are accepting applications for a Leave Replacement Special Education Teacher at our elementary school - August 31, 2026 - March 25, 2027
Responsibilities:
- Assumes professional responsibility for providing learning experiences and supervision of assigned students in a supportive and positive classroom climate.
- Develops in each child the skills, attitudes, and knowledge to meet and exceed the New Jersey Student Learning Standards, following the approved curricula and directives of the school.
- Achieving academic excellence requires that the Special Education Teacher work collaboratively with other members of the school staff and with parents of each child.
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, children with disabilities, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning and children with exceptional needs.
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
Requirements:
New Jersey Instructional Certificate
New Jersey Teacher of the Handicapped or Students with Disabilities
New Jersey Instructional Certificate
Successful clearance of criminal history
Salary:
Salary is determined by the collective bargaining agreement
