AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 16, 2026 through APRIL 2027

THE POSITION

The primary goal is to teach the district music curriculum for Band at the middle school level. The candidate will have opportunities for collaboration with district music educators in a district that is committed to to arts education and student performance experiences.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

  1. New Jersey Teacher of Music Certification or Eligibility required.

  2. Experience teaching middle school instrumental music and conducting band ensembles preferred.

  3. Demonstrated proficiency on at least one band instrument and working knowledge of woodwind, brass, and percussion pedagogy.

  4. Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills.

  5. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.

  • Master's Degree: $77,450 - $109,865

  • Doctorate: $84,565 - $118,450

JOB DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implements instruction to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
  • Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
