The Department of English is vigorous, innovative in its core and program offerings, invested in student engagement, and embracing current trends. The department offers degree programs in English Language and Literature; Creative & Professional Writing; Pre-Law; and Secondary Teaching (9-12), as well as minors in English, writing, and TESOL.
Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Department of English invites applications for a renewable one year, fixed-term position at the rank of Lecturer/Adjunct Assistant Professor scheduled to begin in Spring 2027. The primary purpose of the position will be to teach courses in the core as well as major programs offered by the Department of English. The chosen candidate will primarily be teaching composition with occasional courses in creative writing, including memoir, poetry, children's literature, short prose fiction, and creative nonfiction.
