Position Summary:

The Department of Music at Rollins College is seeking a dynamic musician and music industry professional to join our faculty as a full-time Lecturer/Artist-in-Residence in Music Business and Entrepreneurship. The successful candidate may teach undergraduate music major elective courses in areas such as commercial music, American popular music, music publishing, music business and marketing. The appointee will collaborate with the faculty in continuing to develop music business related courses. Additional responsibilities will include teaching general education courses to both music majors and non-majors, and may include applied lessons or ensembles based on candidate experience.

The appointee will also be expected to serve on departmental and faculty committees and participate in faculty governance as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications and Education:

• Master's degree in music or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in the following areas: marketing, artist management, music publishing and licensing, music in media, media composition, entrepreneurship, and copyright.
• Demonstrated record as an innovative classroom teacher.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of college-level teaching.
• Terminal degree.
• Documented experience in research and publication.
• Demonstrated record of music performance
