Description of Job Duty:

Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses.

Minimum Qualifications:

A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution. Current, unencumbered TN RN license or the ability to obtain a TN RN license. Recent clinical experience and/or experience in teaching in a classroom and/or clinical setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Earned doctorate in nursing or a related field from an accredited institution. Previous university level teaching in the classroom and clinical setting. Experience in medical/surgical nursing, perinatal nursing, and/or psych mental health.

Essential Functions:

Teaching in the classroom and the clinical setting at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Provide student advisement as assigned and contribute to school service. Ability to teach online courses.

Physical Demands: Those typical of any classroom, or office, or clinical environment.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine month, non-tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2026. Three-year contract renewable based on satisfactory performance review and continued needs of the school.

Benefits Information: Benefits include the accumulation of one (1) sick leave day per month and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits. Deferred income and benefits over 12 months.
