Job Description: To teach in the Health Services Administration program for the Department of Health Sciences, College of Professional Studies.

Responsibilities: Teaches courses in the Bachelor of Science Health Services Administration program; advises health science majors and serves on department, college, and university committees. The successful candidate is expected to assist with course and curriculum development and coordinate some program activities. Teaching experience at the college level and professional experience in the field of health service administration is required. Experience integrating technology into the teaching process and/or teaching in a variety of modes (hybrid and on-line) is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting research with undergraduate students. This is a full-time, contractual position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. is required.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting is desired.
  • A doctoral degree in Health Services Administration or a related field is required.
  • Knowledge of theory and practice in the health sciences, especially in the area of health services administration, is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of curriculum design for academic programs.
  • Effective planning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds are necessary.
  • Ability to provide a record of research, scholarship activities, and strong teaching ability.
