Department: Honors College Salary: Commensurate with experience

Description:

The Honors College at the University of Houston is hiring a part-time Lecturer to teach in its Human Situation sequence for the Spring 2026 semester.

Applications are sought from teaching faculty in arts, humanities, and qualitative social sciences, especially those who have taught core texts and major works using a great books approach. Responsibilities will include holding two office hours weekly to support student learning and address course-related questions, utilizing the university's learning management system (Canvas) to post course materials, assignments, and grades in a timely manner.

Applicants should submit a cover letter and a curriculum vitae. The application review begins immediately and will continue until a decision on the position has been made.

PhD Required

Official transcripts are required for a faculty appointment and will be requested upon selection of the final candidates.
