The Lecturer in Biology is a full-time, 10-month faculty position focused on teaching lectures, laboratory, and discussion sections as determined by expertise and the needs of the department. Key working relationships include working with other faculty members and key staff members across campus. This position is a non-tenure-track, academic position in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education, reports to the Chair of the Department and includes service responsibilities which may involve participation in the department, college, campus, and/or community level.

One of nine campuses of Indiana University, IU Northwest is located in metropolitan Northwest Indiana, approximately 30 miles southeast of Chicago and 10 miles from the Indiana Dunes National Park. The campus has a student population of approximately 3,200 degree-seeking students and more than 30,000 alumni, most of whom remain in the Northwest Indiana
