The course load in Fall 2026 is 1-2 courses (i.e. 3-6 units), with a possibility of additional courses in Spring 2027, depending on enrollment needs. Classes are taught Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.Background checkSuccessful completion of a pre-employment background check.Degree Verification RequirementPersons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes.Job RequirementsMinimum QualificationsHave native or near-native fluency in Italian, hold an MA or PhD in Italian or a related field (e.g. second language acquisition, linguistics)Demonstrate experience with language teaching and/or teaching at the college or university level.Posting SalaryCompensationCompensation for this position will be paid on a bi-weekly basis at a per-unit rate of $2,581-$2,659, commensurate with qualifications.The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
