The purpose of this posting is to expand our pool of Lecturers available to teach courses for the School of Education & Human Development. The School of Education & Human Development will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers for future appointments to temporary, part-time, non-tenure-track positions. Lecturers are generally limited to two courses per term. This will be a semester-by-semester appointment, with the possibility of renewal. As this is a pool posting, multiple hires will be made, and the posting will reopen periodically throughout the year to support semester-based hiring. It is typically open during the following timeframes: mid-February through April, June through July, and September through October. You are welcome to reapply to the new posting at the beginning of each year. Teaching assignments may fluctuate and are contingent upon the schedule of courses offered each term, the required number of student enrollments in your tentatively scheduled course(s), and budget availability. Thus, we cannot guarantee that you will teach particular courses or that you will actually teach in a given term.

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $5,125 for a fully-enrolled 3-credit course. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
