Boston University School of Law invites applications from both entry-level and experienced candidates for a non-tenure-track full-time podium Lecturer with a projected start date of July 1, 2027. This position is primarily a teaching position. There is no expectation that this faculty member will produce scholarship. The search is broad and not limited to particular subjects, but we have especially strong teaching needs in American Indian Law, Contracts, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure (both Investigatory and Adjudicatory), Evidence, Islamic Law, Professional Responsibility, Property, LGBTQ+ Rights and the Law, and Trust and Estates. The course load is 3-3, and the candidate should be open to other courses as needed. If appropriate, the person in this position may qualify for a Senior Lecturer position and might be eligible for a presumptively renewable contract after the required probationary period.
