Legal Administrative Assistant
Our client is seeking a polished and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to support their Estates, Trusts, and Guardianships (ETG) practice. This role serves as a key point of contact for a Managing Partner and provides both administrative and client-facing support within a highly structured legal environment. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and looking for a long-term career path within a law firm setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as primary administrative support for the Estates, Trusts & Guardianships team
- Manage client communication, intake, and general correspondence
- Maintain and coordinate attorney calendars and deadlines
- Prepare, draft, format, and proofread legal documents and court filings
- Assist with e-filing and submission of legal documentation
- Coordinate document execution and signing processes
- Support estate and trust administration tasks, including opening matters and maintaining case files
- Assist with financial tracking and recordkeeping related to estate and trust matters
- Provide occasional support to additional practice areas as needed
Qualifications include:
- 1+ year of experience in Estates & Trusts required
- Litigation experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience in a legal administrative or legal support role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and organizational ability
- Professional demeanor with strong client service mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal software (ProLaw, Litify, iManage) is a plus
