We are seeking a full-time, energetic Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Fairfax, VA, medical malpractice litigation defense team. In this position, you will be supporting attorneys by:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage documents by reviewing, editing, and proofreading in both electronic and paper format.
  • Manage calendar and organize daily schedule of attorney.
  • Preparing and drafting correspondence.
  • Screen and manage calls.
  • Coordinate onsite and offsite meetings.
  • Manage travel arrangements for attorney.
  • Develop documents and presentations.
  • Ensure accurate file management.
  • Enter time and billing information.
  • Look for new methods and technology to increase attorney and paralegal efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • Litigation assisting experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving, administrative and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook with excellent keyboarding skills; typing at 65+/wpm, and the ability to process a high volume of dictation and transcription.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex and concurrent tasks involving several stakeholders.
  • Superior detail orientation and time management skills.
  • Absolute discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
