We are recruiting a Legal AI Adoption Counsel to help drive the responsible, practical use of generative AI across a national law firm's practices. This role sits within the Client & Innovation function and works closely with attorneys, practice leaders, IT, professional development, training, research, marketing, and business development teams. The focus is turning AI strategy into real workflows, practical training, and measurable value for attorneys and clients.
AI Adoption & Change Management
- Drive adoption of firm-approved generative AI platforms across multiple practice groups
- Partner with attorneys and business leaders to identify practical AI use cases
- Develop implementation strategies that increase adoption and improve legal workflows
- Support AI pilot programs and help scale successful initiatives across the firm
Training & Education
- Design and deliver engaging in-person and virtual training sessions
- Coach attorneys and legal professionals on integrating AI into their daily work
- Create practical learning materials: playbooks, best practice guides, checklists, FAQs, workflow documentation, and internal knowledge resources
Responsible AI Governance
- Promote responsible and ethical AI use throughout the firm
- Reinforce confidentiality, professional responsibility, supervision, and client expectations
- Support governance frameworks and internal AI policies
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate new legal AI technologies and vendor solutions
- Assist with product rollouts and vendor-led training
- Monitor adoption metrics, user feedback, and business impact
- Recommend workflow improvements based on attorney feedback and usage trends
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Hands-on experience using legal generative AI tools
- Experience in one or more of: Legal Innovation, Knowledge Management, Legal Operations, Practice Management, Legal Technology, or Professional Development
- Strong understanding of law firm operations, matter management, staffing, and billing
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption without direct authority
- Strong project management and organizational skills
Preferred
- Experience practicing law within a law firm or corporate legal department
- Experience designing training programs for legal professionals
- Familiarity with change management methodologies
- Ability to explain AI concepts in clear, practical language
- Experience supporting enterprise technology implementations
