Legal Assistant
Job Title: Legal Assistant
Location: Cape May Courthouse, New Jersey
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: $18/hour - $23/hour
Contractor Work Model: On-site
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am -5:00 pm
Bilingual Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
- Support a non-profit union company that provides legal services to clients
- Conduct initial client assessments, obtain client information, case info and create client profile in computer
- Cover front desk, meet and greet clients, answer phones, route calls, etc.
- Create legal documents, enter client information into templates
- Translate for Spanish speaking clients
- Case file management, keep attorneys organized
Bilingual Legal Assistant Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one (1) year of professional office/administrative experience, preferably in a legal setting
- Must be friendly, outgoing and provide superior customer service to clients
- Bilingual Spanish / English preferred
