Job Summary
Urgent opening - Immediate opening for a legal assistant.   You will communicate with clients, manage estate planning document preparation, prepare and manage probate administrations and trust administrations.  Document preparation includes Wills, Trusts, Advance directives, probate and trust administration. The ideal candidate must be organized and detail oriented. 

Responsibilities 
  • Communicate with clients  
  • Enter client information into case management system - Our office uses Prevail Software
  • Prepare case-specific documents, including Petitions for administration and Trust administration documents,  letters of instruction and emails and letters to clients and beneficiaries
  • Prepare wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney and health surrogates
  • Ensure that file is well organized 
  • Maintain a system to follow a timeline for each administration 
  • E-file court documents 
  • Maintain and update documentation 
  • Provide general administrative support  including phone and client contact as needed
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant required 
  • Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with document management experienc
  • Microsoft Office and case management software 
  • Ability to multitask and attention to details
  • FULL TIME OR PART TIME
