The Law Office of Lawrence M. Centanni, P.C. is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated legal assistant to join our growing practice. We are a fast-paced New Jersey law assistant handling, landlord-tenant matters, real estate transactions and related litigation matters. 


This position is ideal for a legal assistant who can manage files independently, communicate professionally with clients and courts, and thrive in a team environment where responsiveness and attention to detail matter.


Responsibilities


  •  Draft and prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, notices, certifications, and discovery 
  •  Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and scheduling 
  •  Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, title companies, brokers, and municipalities 
  •  Assist with landlord-tenant matters, including filings, notices, and court preparation 
  •  Assist with residential and commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing 
  •  Organize and maintain physical and electronic files 
  •  Prepare closing packages and litigation documents 
  •  Handle client intake and case follow-up 
  •  Support attorneys with general litigation and office operations 
Qualifications


  •  Prior paralegal or legal assistant experience required 
  •  Experience in a general practice law office strongly preferred 
  •  Familiarity with landlord-tenant and/or real estate matters is a plus 
  •  Strong organizational and communication skills 
  •  Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment 
  •  Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail 
  •  Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and legal document management systems 
  •  Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks

Compensation


Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
