Description We are looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team in Everett, Washington. In this role, you will provide essential support to attorneys by managing legal documents, court filings, and case timelines. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, edit, and format a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Assist attorneys with case management throughout all phases, from initial filing to trial and post-judgment proceedings.
- Coordinate the service of process and maintain accurate records of proof of service.
- Perform electronic filing in state and federal courts, including appellate courts, adhering to all procedural requirements.
- Draft and manage litigation calendars, ensuring all court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and trials are tracked effectively.
- Ensure compliance with court rules, local regulations, and judge-specific guidelines.
- Organize and maintain both electronic and physical case files for easy access and retrieval. Requirements - Proven experience with e-filing in state and federal court systems.
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in managing litigation calendars and tracking key deadlines.
- Familiarity with court filing processes and requirements.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
