Position Overview Our firm is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized legal professional to join our team. This role supports our default services, creditors' rights, and real estate litigation practice groups. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative and procedural support to our attorneys, ensuring efficient case management and high-quality client service.

Core Responsibilities

  • Document Drafting & Filing: Prepare, review, and file complaints, motions, proposed orders, and other legal documents with the appropriate courts.
  • Data Privacy Compliance: Review legal files and redact Non-Public Personal Information (NPPI) to maintain strict data confidentiality and compliance.
  • Case & File Management: Maintain accurate, organized physical and electronic case files. Ensure real-time data entry in internal databases and client portals (e.g., Tempo, ICE).
  • Docketing & Calendaring: Monitor and track statutory deadlines, schedule court hearings and mediations, and manage attorney calendars.
  • Professional Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and internal staff.
  • Compliance & Procedures: Adhere to firm protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), client guidelines, and statutory regulations.
  • Litigation Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, ensuring quality control across all casework.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal. Experience in foreclosure or real estate litigation is highly preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Core Skills: Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with legal practice management software (e.g., Perfect Practice, ICE, Tempo) is an asset.
  • Work Style: Dependable, self-motivated, and collaborative with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Time Management: Ability to work efficiently and accurately under tight deadlines.
