Job Summary Legal Assistant II (Phoenix, AZ)
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and investigators within the Office of Inspector General (OIG) at Arizona Department of Economic Security
- Prepare, review, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence
- Manage and maintain electronic files, case records, and confidential documents
- Perform data entry, document tracking, and records management duties
- Coordinate communication and scheduling across multiple systems and platforms
- Assist with case tracking and deadline management for legal and investigative workflows
- Apply analytical and critical-thinking skills to support OIG operations
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Utilize computer proficiency, especially Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Adobe applications
- Work onsite during training, with potential for a hybrid schedule (one remote day per week) after training completion
- Must meet state security requirements and be eligible for security clearance
- Position is full-time, hourly, with possible conversion to full-time employment based on performance
- Local Phoenix, AZ candidates only; must be available for in-person interviews and able to start within two weeks of offer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Legal education or prior legal support experience
- Experience in legal, investigative, or government operations
