Ray Quinney & Nebeker of Salt Lake City, UT, one of the largest and most reputable full-service law firms in Utah, is looking to hire a full-time Legal Assistant for its Litigation group. This Litigation Legal Assistant position enhances the effectiveness of our litigation attorneys by performing a variety of duties such as drafting and formatting letters, briefs, pleadings and other legal documents; managing calendars for meetings, depositions; making travel arrangements; and being familiar with court process and procedures while filing court documents through State and Federal electronic filing systems. If this sounds like the right Legal Assistant opportunity for you, apply today! Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesProcess State and Federal electronic court filingsComplete administrative duties such as making copies, answering and directing phone callsCoordinate and manage calendars for meetings, depositions, court hearings and travel arrangementsDrafting and/or formatting legal briefs, pleadings and correspondenceElectronically manage and maintain files containing legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidenceCommunicating with clients, courts and outside counselAssist with and maintaining time, billing records and invoicing issuesOutstanding communication skills with clients, staff, court administrators and judgesTranscribing dictationsOther duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesProficient in Microsoft OfficeProficient in State and Federal electronic court filingsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsHighly organized with a strong attention to detailAbility to take direction and work independently with little or no supervisionAbility to keep and maintain confidential information regarding clients and firm issuesAn ability to quickly grasp firm specific softwareManage calendars for meetings, depositions, and/or court hearingsProficient typistAbility to be adaptable to various office situationsFamiliarity with family law would be a plus Qualifications3+ years' working experience as a litigation legal assistant2+ year experience processing State and Federal electronic court filingsTwo-year degree or equivalent work experience
