The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, takes pride in delivering meticulous legal support, and can manage a heavy caseload with strong organizational skills. Candidates must be able to handle a case from the filing of the Complaint all the way to trial.Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:Calendaring all case deadlines and eventsFormatting, proofreading, finalizing, serving, and filing legal documents, including Summons & Complaints, Motions, Briefs, Notices, and SubpoenasInteracting with clients to obtain informationPreparing retainers, record authorizations, and record requestsProviding a high level secretarial and administrative supportDrafting correspondenceManaging all case‑related documentsUpdating all case‑related data in Case Management programCoordinating travel arrangements and scheduling of meetingsRequirementsWhat We're Looking For:Minimum 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant working at a trial law firm performing the duties listed aboveExperience handling cases from intake and the filing of the Complaint through trialStrong working knowledge of the CCP, FRCP, and Evidence Code/RulesExcellent organizational and writing skills with exceptional attention to detailDemonstrated ability to manage a heavy caseload in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environmentStrong client rapport and communication skillsPlaintiff's litigation experience in California; resumes where litigation experience is not well documented will not be consideredMust be authorized to work in the United StatesPreferredSpanish speakingExperience with Litify and/or Milana case management platformsBenefitsWe offer:Competitive hourly salary of $33.00 – $50.00/hr.
