Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Legal Assistant for a highly respected labor and employment law firm. This is a hybrid opportunity based in New York, New York, with an anticipated schedule of two days onsite per week.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. This is a true Legal Assistant role focused on attorney support, calendaring, client communication, billing, document management, court filings, and ensuring attorneys remain organized and prepared. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys managing multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, court appearances, travel, and client communications while tracking critical deadlines and priorities
Prepare, proofread, format, and file legal documents, correspondence, presentations, court filings, and other attorney work product
Coordinate billing activities, including attorney time review, invoice preparation, expense reimbursements, client matter openings, and conflict checks
Maintain organized electronic and physical files, document management systems, attorney contact information, and matter records while ensuring confidentiality
Coordinate Continuing Legal Education (CLE) compliance, conference registrations, attorney travel arrangements, and firm administrative projects
Provide proactive administrative support across the legal team while assisting with overflow work, marketing initiatives, and special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of Legal Assistant experience supporting attorneys within a law firm environment
Strong experience with litigation support, attorney calendaring, court filings, billing coordination, and document management
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, electronic filing systems, and legal document management software; experience with iManage is a plus
Exceptional organizational, proofreading, communication, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple attorneys and competing priorities
Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and outstanding client service
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
