Legal Assistant / Paralegal - Commercial Real Estate

A rapidly growing, full-service law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support its Commercial Real Estate and Wealth Management practice in Charleston.  Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and proofread legal documents, including closing disclosures, deeds, and trust documents.
  • Manage e-filing in South Carolina state and federal courts (PACER).
  • Oversee attorney calendars, docketing, and critical case deadlines.
  • Handle time entry and billing support using practice management software.
  • Coordinate travel and scheduling for attorneys and clients.
  • Support real estate closing processes, including Title Insurance and UCC filings.

 Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Professional communication skills for client and attorney interaction.

 Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate.
  • Experience in commercial real estate or wealth management.
  • Familiarity with software such as SoftPro, Qualia, or Clio.
  • Active Notary Public.
