Confidential Opportunity – Litigation Legal Assistant / Paralegal (Hybrid) | Downtown Los Angeles
A well-established and highly respected California litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join its collaborative business litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both substantive paralegal work and legal assistant responsibilities in a supportive, team-oriented environment with exceptional employee retention.
This hybrid role is approximately 80% paralegal and 20% legal assistant, supporting a busy team of attorneys handling sophisticated litigation matters.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and file documents in California state and federal courts
- Manage litigation calendars and deadlines
- Draft, format, and finalize pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
- Create document shells, tables of contents, and tables of authorities
- Assist with document production and e-discovery
- Prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel
- Provide administrative and litigation support as needed
Qualifications
- Experience supporting litigation attorneys in a law firm environment
- Strong knowledge of California and federal court filing procedures
- Experience with discovery, trial preparation, deposition preparation, and calendaring
- Proficiency in document formatting, document production, and creating tables
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Team-first mentality and willingness to assist wherever needed
