Legal Assistants review court records from various counties throughout the state to determine whether proposed substantiated allegations were adjudicated or dismissed prior to adjudication.
Based on their findings, Legal Assistants communicate with field staff to identify and obtain the documentation needed to support proposed substantiated allegations. Once allegations are processed, Legal Assistants apply the Central Registry Tier System to ensure each allegation is assigned to the appropriate tier.
In addition, Legal Assistants conduct research and review approximately 173,000 existing substantiated allegations to verify and assign the applicable tier designation.
