We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to support the General Counsel in our in‑house legal department . This role is ideal for someone who is organized, comfortable working with financial and operational teams, and interested in hands‑on involvement in disputes, claims, and collections common to the construction and staffing industries.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Legal Support:Provide administrative and legal support to the General Counsel in day‑to‑day legal operationsAssist with litigation and claims management, including organizing files, tracking deadlines, and preparing documentsDraft, format, and revise legal documents such as correspondence, contracts, and internal memorandaMaintain legal calendars, including deadlines and compliance datesManage subpoenas, records requests, and document retentionSupport compliance initiatives related to employment, safety, and regulatory mattersCoordinate with HR, operations, safety, and finance teams on legal requests and investigationsAssist with collections matters, including preparing demand letters, organizing supporting documentation, and tracking lien and bond claimsCoordinate with operations and finance teams to gather invoices, contracts, work confirmations, and other evidence supporting collectionsPrepare and file small claims and other collection‑related pleadings under attorney supervisionMaintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information at all timesQualificationsExperience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or administrative professional in a legal or collections‑related roleStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsComfort working with invoices, contracts, and financial documentationProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); experience with document management systems is a plusAbility to work independently while collaborating closely with internal stakeholdersPreferred Experience (Not Required)Experience with collections, small claims, liens, or payment disputesPrior work in construction, staffing, or employment‑related industriesExperience supporting in‑house counselParalegal certificate or related legal training#J-18808-Ljbffr
