With headquarters in Connecticut and offices in California and Florida.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant with 3+ years of law firm experience to support a busy practice. This role focuses on administrative and operational support, including document preparation, and scheduling. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while providing responsive support to attorneys and internal teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative and secretarial support to assigned attorneys and, as needed, paralegalsFormat, proofread, and finalize correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documentsMaintain attorney calendars in Outlook, including scheduling meetings and tracking deadlinesOrganize and coordinate travel arrangements for attorneysPrepare expense reimbursements and mileage submissionsMaintain and update client and matter files, both electronically and in hard copyAccurately enter, review, and revise time entries as neededAssist with conflict check submissions and matter opening processesReview vendor invoices for accuracy and coordinate submission for paymentProvide responsive and professional support via phone and emailAssist with basic e‑filing in state and federal courts as neededSupport general matter coordination to ensure tasks and deadlines are tracked and completedQualificationsMinimum of 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm environment requiredStrong experience providing administrative and document support to attorneysProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with document management systems (e.g., NetDocuments or similar) preferredFamiliarity with legal or business systems (e.g., CARET or similar) preferredBasic familiarity with e‑filing systems (e.g., PACER, state platforms) preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsReliable, responsive, and able to work independently on day‑to‑day tasksAbility to remain in a seated position for extended periods of timeFrequent use of a computer, keyboard, and other standard office equipmentOccasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching to retrieve or file documentsOccasional lifting and carrying of files or office materials (generally up to 15 pounds)Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.BenefitsCompetitive salary and year-end performance based bonus.Generous PTO and flexible work arrangements as applicable.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.401(k) with match from first date of employment.We're excited to meet passionate professionals who are ready to make an impact, and we warmly encourage you to apply and grow with the SDV team.#J-18808-Ljbffr
