Mayersohn Law Group, P.A. is hiring an experienced Legal Billing & Collections Specialist with strong Family Law billing experience, legal collections knowledge, and hands‑on Clio billing skills. In this role, you’ll oversee the full billing cycle, maintain accurate financial records, and support the firm’s financial operations with confidence, precision, and autonomy.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Timekeeping & Pre‑Billing
- Review daily time entries for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate with attorneys to ensure timely corrections
- Generate and revise pre‑bills in Clio
Invoice Preparation & Delivery
- Prepare and finalize invoices in compliance with billing guidelines and LEDES formats
- Deliver invoices and track confirmation of receipt
Payments, Retainers, Trust Accounting, Disputes, & Adjustments
- Process payments (credit card, ACH, check)
- Monitor trust and retainer balances while maintaining trust‑accounting compliance
- Handle chargebacks and disputes; process refunds and adjustments with approval
Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Track outstanding balances and conduct soft collections professionally
- Support monthly reporting and reconciliation
Client & Internal Support
- Respond to billing inquiries
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized, accurate billing records
QUALIFICATIONS
- Family Law legal billing experience (required)
- Legal collections experience with FDCPA knowledge (required)
- Hands‑on experience billing directly in Clio (required)
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills
- Understanding of basic accounting and trust accounting
- Highly organized and able to work independently
- Proficient with legal billing software, timekeeping systems, and Microsoft Office
