About the Role
We are seeking a Legal Billing Manager to oversee billing operations within a dynamic law firm environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys driving process improvement, supporting a high-performing team, and partnering closely with attorneys and firm leadership.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely billing while improving workflows, supporting team development, and enhancing overall billing operations.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and support a billing team responsible for monthly billing cycles and eBilling operations
- Oversee prebills, invoice processing, and billing submissions to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Partner with attorneys and partners to resolve billing questions, edits, and escalations
- Support and improve billing workflows, processes, and system efficiency
- Ensure compliance with billing guidelines and firm standards
- Assist with onboarding, training, and development of billing staff
- Monitor billing performance and support reporting and audit processes
- Drive consistency, organization, and accountability across billing operations
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of legal billing experience (law firm experience strongly preferred)
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in billing or finance operations
- Experience with legal billing systems and eBilling platforms
- Familiarity with Elite 3E strongly preferred (or comparable legal billing system)
- Strong understanding of billing workflows, invoicing, and attorney billing guidelines
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in a large or mid-sized law firm environment
- Exposure to eBilling systems and electronic invoice submission platforms
- Experience mentoring or developing team members
- Background in process improvement or workflow optimization
