As a Legal Clerk within our witness management program, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth coordination, support, and administration of witness-related activities. Your contributions will directly facilitate the federal judicial process, helping witnesses navigate court proceedings while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
What Youll Bring:
- High school diploma required; undergraduate degree preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in word processing, data entry, and retrieval
- Strong analytical ability to review and manage multiple sources of information
- Experience establishing and maintaining case or project files
- Skilled in data manipulation, report formatting, and document preparation
- Ability to schedule appointments and handle inquiries related to case status and logistics
- Attention to detail ensuring 95% or higher accuracy in work
- Familiarity with legal procedures and terminology is a plus
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience working in a legal or government environment
- Knowledge of courtroom procedures, witness protocols, or travel arrangements
- Ability to coordinate with multiple agencies and stakeholders
- Prior exposure to database management systems and relevant software
Preferred Education & Experience:
- A high school diploma is essential; an undergraduate degree adds advantage
- Prior administrative, clerical, or legal support experience is highly desirable

- Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards
- Ability to obtain an approved security clearance, including a background check and necessary training
- U.S. citizenship and compliance with Department of Justice residency requirements
This is a full-time, hourly contract position based in San Antonio, Texas, supporting the vital mission of witness management in federal cases. Work hours are standard weekday hours, with some flexibility for work performed during non-working days, as approved.
