What We Are Looking For

The Legal Contracts Specialist will provide comprehensive support throughout the contract lifecycle- from initial drafting and internal review during negotiations to final execution and record management. This role is responsible for coordinating contract approvals, verifying supporting documentation, processing and validating contract details, and managing contract modifications as needed

Schedule: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day Tues- Fri 7:00 am - 5:30 pm | Location: Brier Clinic, San Bernardino, CA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DELIVERABLES

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Compliance Team for all contract-related activities, including drafting amendments, preparing redlines, and conducting initial contract reviews.
  • Communicate contract updates and key milestones to all stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Monitor and manage contract renewal schedules to ensure timely execution and prevent service interruptions.
  • Assist with contract administration and special projects as assigned.
  • Prepare contracts under the direction of the Manager of Credentialing and Privacy, Executive Director of Compliance and Risk Management, and Legal Counsel.
  • Draft contract terms for SAC Health''s master service agreements and prepare them for legal review and approval.
  • Prepares master service agreements for legal review and approval.
  • Analyze and highlight contract provisions where SAC Health may enhance terms to improve profitability and mitigate liability exposure.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized system to track all contracts and key dates.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of all vendor communications within a centralized system.
  • May be required to travel to collect signatures from providers, vendors, or legal representatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Department Leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Associate of Arts with major in paralegal studies is required. Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with major in paralegal studies or Bachelors degree in Business in a related field is preferred

  • Licensure/Certification: Paralegal Certification

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years previous experience in contract administration or related role is required.

  • Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Proficiency with contract management software and document tracking systems.

  • Work Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Must not now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visas.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Experience interpreting and applying legal, regulatory, or policy frameworks in contract review and administration. Proven organizational skills, as well as flexibility, and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities within designated time frames and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in fast paced environment independently, collaboratively and under tight deadlines. Ability to analyze complex documents and identify risks, inconsistencies, or compliance issues
