Position Overview Jump Operations, LLC seeks Legal Counsel at its facility located at 15 E 26th Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10010. The role focuses on innovating and counseling business partners on issues involving the latest financial, communications, and blockchain technologies.Responsibilities Counsel business partners on legal issues related to financial, communications, and blockchain technologies.Manage contracts and contract strategy, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial contracts and related transaction documents.Oversee contract lifecycles, collaborating on renewals, renegotiations, and terminations.Improve contract review processes to enhance consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.Build strong relationships with business teams and provide guidance on a wide range of legal issues.Effectively review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including technology, licensing, leases, trading‑related, and vendor agreements.Provide strategic counsel to technology and business development units on contractual risks and alternative strategies.Stay informed on developments in law and industry, delivering updates and training to business units.Assist with internal legal department projects and initiatives.Qualifications Juris Doctorate (JD) or foreign equivalent law degree with 3+ years of law firm experience as an associate attorney drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial contracts.Experience drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex commercial agreements, transaction documents, and regulatory reporting/disclosures, including core provisions such as representations, warranties, covenants, indemnities, limitations of liability, confidentiality, termination, and remedies.Proficiency in end‑to‑end contract and transaction lifecycle management, coordinating with internal teams and external counterparties to improve review processes.Ability to explain complex legal issues to non‑lawyers and propose negotiation strategies.Project‑management experience with 5+ complex transactions involving coordination with lawyers, financial institutions, and other external parties in fast‑paced environments.Preparation and advising on SEC filings and transactions under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, Securities Act of 1933, and other securities regulations with legal research using tools such as Westlaw and EDGAR.Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness, and superior interpersonal skills to build relationships across offices and departments.Compensation Rate of Pay: $210,000 - $220,000 per year.
