The internship work term will be from September 7, 2026, to December 31, 2026, based in our Houston, Tx office.What You Will DoMonitor legislative and regulatory developments that may impact ENGIE North America's business operationsConduct legal and policy research and summarize findings for attorneys, regulatory professionals, and business stakeholdersCollect information from registered federal lobbyists and coordinate with an outside service provider to support timely and accurate quarterly and semi‑annual federal Lobbying Disclosure Act filings with the U.S. House of Representatives and SenateAssist with the administration of the ENGIE North America Political Action Committee, including employee enrollments and unenrollments, federal and state election commission filings, contribution request tracking, board approval records, and PAC expenditure reportingMaintain accurate PAC membership lists and records of PAC board actionsSupport contract administration for state and federal lobbyists and public affairs agencies, including tracking contract expiration dates and initiating renewals or terminations as neededCollaborate with Legal, Government & Regulatory Affairs, Community Engagement, Public Affairs, and business teams to ensure alignment on compliance obligations and strategic initiativesProvide support to other legal teams as neededWhat You'll BringA minimum Bachelors degreeExposure to government affairs, regulatory law, and the energy industry; foundational knowledge of legal research methods and ability to synthesize complex information clearlyAdditional DetailsInterns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semesterThis role is eligible for our hybrid in‑office work policy and is not eligible for remote workMust be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policiesAbility to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlinesCompensationHourly Range: $22.50 - $25.50 USD hourlyThis represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
