Luminator is a global leader spanning over 85 countries and nearly 1,000 employees.Luminator is seeking a Legal Operations Manager to join our team at our Plano Texas headquarters.Key ResponsibilitiesContract Review & ManagementLead initial review and redlining of commercial contracts (customer, supplier, consulting, NDA, etc.)Ensure alignment with approved company positions on: payment terms, IP ownership, liability and indemnification, data protection and confidentialityEscalate complex legal issues to external counsel as requiredMaintain centralized contract repository and version controlStandard Templates & GovernanceDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve standard contract templatesDrive adoption and adherence across business units globallyImplement contract playbooks and approval matrices (DOA alignment)Reduce cycle times by minimizing unnecessary legal reviewExternal Counsel CoordinationAct as primary point of contact for all external law firmsRoute matters to appropriate counsel (by geography / specialty)Manage scope definition and ensure work is aligned with business prioritiesConsolidate legal advice into actionable guidance for internal stakeholdersLegal Spend Ownership & ControlOwn legal budget and forecasting in partnership with FinanceReview and approve all legal invoices for accuracy and scope alignmentEnforce billing guidelines (rates, staffing mix, efficiency expectations)Track and report legal spend by matter, region, and firmIdentify cost reduction opportunities (alternative fee arrangements, consolidation of firms)Legal Operations & Process ImprovementImplement scalable legal processes and tools (CLM systems, tracking tools)Create KPI dashboards (contract cycle time, external spend, matter volume)Drive standardization globally across regions (NA, EMEA, LATAM)Partner with finance, procurement, and commercial organizations to improve upstream contract qualityKey CompetenciesCommercial judgment – balances legal protection with business speedProcess discipline – drives standardization and complianceFinancial acumen – treats legal spend as a controllable cost centerStakeholder management – effective across executives, legal, operations and commercial teamsGlobal perspective – adaptable across jurisdictions and business segmentsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree preferredExperience10+ years of paralegal or legal operations experience (in‑house preferred)Strong experience in commercial contract review and negotiation supportDemonstrated experience managing external counsel and legal budgetsHigh proficiency in drafting and standardizing legal templatesStrong financial mindset (budgeting, cost control, ROI of legal spend)Ability to operate independently in a lean, fast‑paced environmentComputer SkillsTechnical and business knowledge using Microsoft Excel; proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications is also required, including but not limited to Word and PowerPoint.Why You'll Love Working at LuminatorCompetitive compensation with career growth potential.Generous time off: Vacation and wellness time, 10 company holidays, and 2 floating days.Educational Assistance Program: Robust reimbursement program for professional growth.Health and wellness: Medical, dental, and vision coverageGenerous 401k match programBenefits Effective Day One!Find out more about us by visiting Life@Luminator page!It is the policy of Luminator to ensure equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, citizenship, national origin, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.
