Legal Operations Paralegal

Elevate is assisting our customer, a global engineering and consulting organization, in the search for a Legal Operations Paralegal to support its North American legal department. This position will work closely with the General Counsel and play a key role in the implementation and administration of a contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform, while also providing commercial contracting and legal operations support.

Duration: Through December 2026, with potential extension into 2027

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20-25 hours per week

Location: Remote within the USA (preference for candidates located in the Chicago area)

Compensation: $40-$50/hour on W2, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities-

• Support implementation, administration, and ongoing management of an enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform.
• Assist with contract intake, workflow configuration, data migration, testing, training, reporting, and user support activities.
• Provide commercial contract support, including NDAs, vendor agreements, client contracts, and contract administration.
• Maintain contract records, workflows, templates, and related legal operations processes.
• Support corporate governance, compliance, licensing, records management, and related legal department initiatives.
• Partner with legal and business stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and legal technology adoption.

Key Qualifications-

• 5+ years of experience in legal operations, corporate paralegal, contracts administration, or a similar in-house legal support role.
• Hands-on experience implementing, administering, or supporting a CLM platform.
• Strong understanding of the commercial contract lifecycle, including intake, review, execution, renewals, and recordkeeping.
• Experience supporting legal technology initiatives, workflow management, or process improvement projects.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively within a small legal department.
• Strong Microsoft 365 skills and excellent organizational, communication, and project management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications-

• Experience with ContractPodAI, LEAH AI, or a comparable enterprise CLM platform.
• Experience with contract migration, metadata management, workflow configuration, user testing, training, or reporting.
• Knowledge of corporate governance, licensing, compliance, records management, or legal department operations.
• Experience supporting engineering, infrastructure, construction, consulting, energy, professional services, or other highly regulated industries.
• Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent professional experience.
