A reputable law firm is seeking a highly organized Legal Practice Assistant to support attorneys across corporate securities and labor & employment matters. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with exposure to transactional and litigation matters while playing a critical role in document management and administrative execution. Responsibilities
- Prepare, format, and proofread complex legal documents with a high degree of accuracy
- Manage high-volume document workflows across corporate and litigation matters
- Assist with drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and other court-related documents
- Support corporate and securities activities, including regulatory filings under attorney guidance
- Maintain organized case files, transaction records, and client documentation
- Coordinate calendars, deadlines, and logistics for meetings and legal proceedings
- Assist with billing processes, including time entry and invoice coordination
- Organize and maintain attorney contacts and client information systems
- Provide administrative and light marketing support as needed
- Coordinate materials related to arbitrations, union activity, and employment-related matters
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a legal or professional services environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, with strong document formatting skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workloads with speed and precision
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines across multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with legal terminology and court filing procedures preferred
- Experience supporting corporate, real estate, finance, or litigation practices is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- $62,000-$72,000
