The Legal Practice Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional departments, oversee legal claim management, and drive corporate legal initiatives that enhance departmental efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Oversee preparation, organization, and compliance of corporate legal documentation.

  • Collaborate with teams across Development, Residential, Commercial, and Accounting on legal matters.

  • Track and analyze claim trends to mitigate risk across the portfolio.

  • Coordinate with external counsel, insurance consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Administrative & Clerical Oversight

  • Manage department billing and invoice coding, including budgeting and accrual processes.

  • Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and coordinate document execution (DocuSign and originals).

  • Maintain legal records, organize files, draft correspondence, and handle communications.

Transactional & Due Diligence Support

  • Ensure timely and accurate handling of filings, agreements, and compliance documentation.

Technology & Innovation

  • Partner with IT to implement legal tech tools and knowledge management solutions.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 7–10 years of experience in legal operations, ideally a mix of law firm and in-house experience, with a focus on real estate or property management law.

  • Proven track record managing legal claims and supporting transactional matters.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe).

  • Ability to lead strategic initiatives while maintaining hands-on support.

  • High level of professionalism, sound judgment, and attention to detail.

Work Ethic:

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, equally comfortable executing day-to-day clerical functions and leading strategic legal projects. This role may occasionally require extended hours to meet departmental objectives.
